Made to Measure Curtains
Curtains are one of the most important parts of your interior design, often drawing the most attention so it's important to choose the right heading type and material to make the best impact. On our free home visit, we can offer the advice you need and guide you through everything you need to know.
Did you know: floor length curtains draw the eye upward making ceilings seem higher and the windows more of a feature. Also, the correct positioning of the brackets and making the pole wide enough will ensure the curtains pass the window enough to allow maximum light.

Wave curtains
Running on a specially designed track with consistently spaced gliders which guide the fabric in to uniform folds. The operation is smooth and an ideal choice to make rooms dark when ceiling fixed.

Eyelet curtains
Smooth, easy to pull with soft, uniform waves that stack tightly. A modern choice for a contemporary look.

Pinch Pleat Curtains
Primarily designed for use on a pole but can be used on a track. Ideal for use in bay windows. An elegant look.

Pencil Pleat Curtains
The traditional choice. Pulling strings to create folds which look like a row of pencils.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do curtains cost in Banbury?
This varies depending on the type, specification and size of the blind. The starting price is £149 which includes measuring and fitting. Book a free home visit here to get an accurate quote.
What is the lead time of curtains?
Curtains and their poles/tracks usually take around three-four weeks to be made and fitted.
Can you fit curtains to bay windows?
There are verious ways to fit curtains to a bay window. You could put a pair across the front, which would be a great idea if you don't intend on using them every day, so for dress purposes for example. You could also put them inside the bay from ceiling to floor, or from ceiling to sill.
Due to the nature of the construction of bays, it is common for the drops to be different at the edge compared to the middle. This does need to be considered if choosing to follow the bay and opting for sill length curtains - meaning the light gap at the bottom won't be the same across the whole width.
Are curtains suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?
Curtains can be fitted in kitchen and bathrooms, but it is not common practise due to the moisture content of the rooms when in use, and for smells in the kitchen. It is common however to put a Roman blind in these rooms, as there's less fabric used and it's kept condensed away from any splashes etc. These are commonly used for dress purposes only.
Vinyl roller blinds would be a great choice as they are waterproof and can be wiped. Vinyl vertical blinds would also work well. Shutters are also waterproof. The NEW range of DuraShade rigid verticals would also be a grat idea.
How can I get blackout from curtains?
Curtains can be made with a blackout lining, which makes the mains panels blackout, but this doesn't include the hems and sides, and light will seep in from behind the edges and the top. You can choose in some circumstances to go wall to wall and ceiling to floor, effectively blocking the whole space. This is a great way of acheiving blackout, but it won't be 100%. For 100% blackout, choose:
Blind Screen® offer blinds that are 100% blackout. Perfect for nurseries, night sleepers and temperature regulation. BlocOut™ by BlocBlinds® are practically blackout. They are roller blinds the operate through side channels and a rubber bottom seal.
