Are vertical blinds suitable for bay windows?
Verticals can go in bays and add a layer of privacy as you can turn the vanes to whichever way you need to get th eprivacy and light combination that you need. But, when closed, there will be gaps between the indvidual blinds whcih in some cases, can be big enough to see through from the outside so we try to steer away from vertical blinds in bay windows. If they are layered with curtains though, the gaps won't be a problem which makes verticals a great privacy blind.
Shutters are also ideal for bay windows. The frames can again butt up to eachother to eliminate the gaps that verticals would have.
What are the lead times on blinds?
Usually it's a 2-3 week lead time, however we can offer to fit them within 5 working days on the express service.
Are vertical blinds suitable for bathrooms and kitchens?
If you choose a vinyl fabric, they are waterproof and can be wiped so yes indeed, they are a good choice for kitchens and bathrooms. The Durashade range are rigid slats so are inherently waterproof and very durable.
PVC Shutters are also waterproof.
Are vertical blinds blackout?
No, verticals are probably the worst option to choose if blackout is a consideration. The fabric itself may be blackout but there will be a lot of light seeping though inbetween each vane and around the edges.
